McRuer CPAs Shareholders
 CPA Scott McRuer is the Managing Member at McRuer CPAs and remains one of the firm’s primary shareholders. Scott has nearly 30 years experience in public accounting. Scott’s focus is client accounting and tax strategy planning. He also serves as a business growth and a wealth management strategist. Scott founded McRuer & Associates, LLC in 1987 after years of experience as an auditor for a "Big 8" international CPA firm. He has been a senior auditor for a Fortune 100 manufacturing company and the corporate audit manager for the nation's largest tax preparation service. Scott also currently serves as City Alderman Ward 2 in Parkville, Missouri. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Westminster College. Scott completed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants National Tax Education Program offered through the University of Illinois.

 CPA Sam Carnes is the Tax Manager coordinating the Tax Services Team at McRuer CPAs and is a firm shareholder. Sam has more than two decades of experience. His primary focus is in tax preparation and strategic tax planning. Sam has experience as a tax associate with a national CPA firm and an accountant with a local CPA firm. He has also served as a tax associate with the nation's largest tax preparation service. Sam has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Accounting from Purdue University and an Accounting and Business Management Degree from Lakeland College, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

 CPA Heather Hoyle is the Accounting Services Team Coordinator at McRuer CPAs and is a firm shareholder. She has more than a decade of experience in public accounting. Heather is an accounting systems strategist and helps business clients develop and upgrade more efficient and effective accounting systems which are operated either on-site or via the McRuer CPAs Client Accounting Portal. She manages the highly regarded Creative Business Solutions online accounting and bookkeeping programs for the firm’s business clients. Heather is a graduate of Park University with a degree in Accounting/Management.

Strategic Client Resources
 CPA Charles Hubbard is a strategic client resource at McRuer CPAs. Charlie has in-depth experience working in areas of tax law governing agriculture and construction-based companies and businesses. He also has expertise in consulting family-owned businesses, high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs. Charlie handles tax structure evaluations, the set-up needs of corporations, and IRS audits and appeals. Charlie is also the co-founder of a biodiesel production facility. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and has had his CPA designation since 2001. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.

 CPA Marianne Ennett is responsible for tax return quality control at McRuer CPAs. She is also part of the Audit Representation Team. Marianne has 18 years experience as a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. She has served as a Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer for a real estate development corporation and has 7 years experience in the banking industry. Marianne attended Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She earned her BBA degree with a Major in Accounting from WSU.

 CPA Dean Sparks is a strategic client resource at McRuer CPAs. Dean has more than two decades of experience in public accounting, taxation and commercial real estate due diligence. He also focuses on small business start-ups. Dean has been an active partner in the operation and management of a chain of restaurants and has held an executive position with a Fortune 500 company. Dean earned his Masters of Business Administration Degree from Columbia University. He is an active member of AICPA and MSCPA. Dean continues to take an active role in a variety of community organizations.

Lisa has been a CPA for more than two decades. She currently provides tax and accounting services for both business clients and individuals. Lisa is the National President of the Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, a service-oriented organization providing support for local and international community events and programs. Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics-Business with a concentration in Accounting from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.

She has nearly two decades of experience as an accountant including serving as a Tax Preparation Specialist with the firm since 2004 and Accounts Payable Manager for several years. In the past, Denise provided more than ten years of accounting services for large local insurance company where she served as a financial analyst, accounts payable manager and budget analyst. Denise has a BSBA Degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

She is the main client contact concerning project and account status. Beth recently served as Director of Operations for a Kansas City area development firm. Beth attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a graduate of Leadership Lee’s Summit, has been a member and committee chair with the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street Association, a chapter member of the local Business Networking Group and a volunteer with Hope House and the Open Arms Foundation.

Anita specializes in project management and strategic messaging techniques for web-related tools and printed materials as well as event planning and management. She has experience in motivational speaking, creating strategic marketing plans and consulting business owners on media and public relations. Anita has a Bachelor of Journalism Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
